For Mommy's birthday, we packed our car and loaded up for a road trip. We had the most incredible time. Friday, we did a little shopping, had pizza at the hotel, took a swim in the ice cold "heated" pool and got a good night's rest so that we could have a full day on Saturday. Saturday morning was an early one. Everyone was psyched about seeing the animals. We got to the zoo around 10:30 and walked and walked and walked. We saw so many cool animals! Elaina saw the back of her eyelids for about 2 1/2 hours. Embri walked much of the zoo. She probably walked more that day than she ever has in one day in her life. She got tired but she had no time for a nap. After we closed the zoo down, we had a picnic back at the hotel. It was then bath and bedtime. Sunday morning came a little later as we were all exhausted. We ate breakfast and then headed out around 10 to come home.
What a great birthday Mommy had... the best one yet!
