Fun time at Granny and Poppas house

We made fruit cake and Christmas goodies yesterday.  We got to hang out with our friend Miranda today after her last day of school before Christmas.

Grandpa sent an early Christmas surprise to go around the tree.  We know Embri is a bit too small to ride but we sure are excited about seeing her on it! 

Family time in NC

We went to NC to visit and meet new family.  We celebrated  Christmas with the Bailey clan and met Will and Caroline for the first time.  We also visited with Granny and Manning and met our new cousin, Tyson  and other cousins Ginny, Nate and John Michael.  We missed seeing Elyssa but she was practicing for the church Christmas play. 

First Bath

Embri was able to take her first bath this morning.  She really enjoyed the water and didn't even cry!  Also, Embri met a special person this week, her great granny, Eleanor's best friend, Hazel.

Today was a fun day, we got to see uncle Mark hold Embri for the first time.  There was no lack of attention or love for Embri.  We all had a blast and ate way too much.  

Highlight for Daddy night

Tonight was much fun for Daddy, he was able to feed his little girl for the first time.  At this moment Daddy realized a whole new meaning to life.  Embri has been wonderful this week and has given her parents much needed rest!  

Two exciting days of grandparents !!! Embri's friday started off with her first trip to the farm.  At the farm she got to meet the dogs and smell the fresh air.  Granny and Poppa gave lots of love also!  After coming home from the farm Nena and Grandpa came for the weekend.  Grandpa was very excited to see me and we all know that Nena was not excited at all...  Also this weekend Ms. Sara came by to meet Embri for the first time all the way from chesapeake.    

Doctors visit, Granny and poppa and the preacher

Today has been very eventful.  The day started off with a visit to the doctors office for a one week checkup.  All of the news was good news!  Embri now weighs in at 6 lbs 13 oz  her billy was down to 3!  After we left the doctors office the Preacher came by to meet Embri.  Not too much later Granny and Poppa came by and we had some one week birthday cake!  Yes we are crazy but momma likes birthday cake and we keep her happy these days :-)   

Nenas visit

Today was very exciting Nena came for a visit and brought lots of food!  Of course Embri did not have much time today unattended, she appreciated all of Nena's love.  Even though grandpa could not be here she missed him and knew he was hard at work.  Embri is excited that grandpa is coming again this weekend.  Also granny and poppa stopped by to offer lots of help last night, when they left everything was sparkling clean!

Chillin

Just wanted everybody to see baby Embri with her favorite friend.  This was a gift from grandpa.  Embri has been doing well, she let mommy and daddy get lots of sleep last night.  She is eating well and doing all the other stuff well too !
