Wednesday, December 22 we spent in Stonewall with the Strattons. We exchanged gifts for the kids and then played Dirty Santa. Embri was the star of the game. That's her below deciding who wants to exchange gifts with whom.
Friday, December 24 Granny, Poppa and Uncle Adam spent the evening with us and then Nana and Pa came.
When the girls woke up on Christmas morning, Nena and Grandpa were at our house too. The girls spent the morning with Nena, Grandpa, Nana and Pa and then went to Grandma's house for lunch and presents. It snowed much of the day. Mommy and Daddy got home after supper from their jobs and we all baked cookies for Santa Clause. They were gingerbread cookies. Embri decorated them especially for Santa. We all went to bed and slept really really sound. When we awoke the next morning (Sunday) the ground and everything outside was white. It was a beautiful site (we love snow). Santa had come and gone (and took some yummy cookies) and left really cool presents for Elaina and Embri, Mommy and Daddy.
Embri got a Gator and lots of balls. Elaina got lots of balls, a turtle that she can sit in and play with her balls and a piano.
They also got a coat and shoe stand to put by the door. We shared the day with Nena, Grandpa, Nana and Pa. We all opened presents after breakfast.
Then Uncle Patrick, Leslie and Cameron came to play in the snow and exchange gifts. We ate late lunch and shared time with family and neighbors.
We celebrated Jesus's birthday with a cake and Embri and Mommy sang "Happy Birthday Jesus" while Elaina clapped along. We hope that you enjoyed Jesus's birthday as well. We gave gifts to the ones we love but no gift will ever compare to the gift of salvation that Jesus gave to us.
And now....
"We are plum tuckered out!!" But we did have fun!
